NFL Power Rankings: Some changes after a crazy preseason (Shutdown Corner)

So, we've had a few minor stories in the NFL since the pre-preseason power rankings were published the day of the Hall of Fame Game. Geno Smith got his jaw broken by a teammate. Jordy Nelson tore his ACL. So did Kelvin Benjamin. Arian Foster was lost for at least a few weeks with a groin injury. Kam Chancellor never ended his holdout. [ Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football: Sign up and join a league todayl ] Robert Griffin III was benched. Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey needed surgery on an injured ankle. Rookie playmakers like Kevin White and Breshad Perriman never made it into a preseason game. Tyrod Taylor won the Bills' starting QB job. Brian Hoyer did the same in Houston. Oh, and reigning Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady had a four-game suspension vacated in court. Not sure if you heard about that. So there have to be changes from our last power rankings, but how much does what happened in the last five weeks and what we saw on the preseason field matter in our pre-Week 1 power rankings? Let's find out (the "last week" tag for each team is their ranking in the pre-preseason power rankings): 32. Tennessee Titans (Last week: 32) Marcus Mariota looked pretty good in preseason. Who knows what will happen when it counts, and the team around him is still pretty bad, but the Titans have to feel good about their rookie quarterback so far.
