Ex-NFL official Steeg on San Diego's stadium advisory group (The Associated Press)

Former NFL executive Jim Steeg is among nine civic leaders appointed by Mayor Kevin Faulconer to an advisory group tasked with devising a plan for a new stadium to keep the Chargers in San Diego. Steeg was in charge of running the Super Bowl for 26 years before spending five years as an executive with the Chargers. Faulconer has asked the advisory group to develop financing and site plans that can be approved by voters to replace aging Qualcomm Stadium. This is probably the city's last chance to keep the Chargers, who might move to Los Angeles if a new stadium is built there.
